THE BRAND

MACHINA is an advanced wearable technology brand launched in 2012. The company is founded on the belief that wearable technology will enhance our lives rather than disrupt, disconnect, and distract us by being functional, intuitive, and aesthetic.

WE MAKE WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY UBIQUITOUS BY MERGING FASHION AND TECHNOLOGY IN A FUNCTIONAL AND VISUALLY APPEALING WAY.

JUAN PE MACHINA

CO-FOUNDER

[Born in the small town of Membrilla, a town remembered in a collection of short pieces written by peasants in collectives in anarchist Spain: The whole town lives like a large family: officials, delegates, union secretaries [...] act as parents. But controlled parents, because protection or corruption would not be tolerated. Membrilla may be the poorest village in Spain, but its also the most just. With this background, Juanpe explored his creative potential through music, cooking, and development. Having worked in CETEMMSA, HP, he was ready to begin working in something a bit more real. Hes the man who takes the vision from prototype to product.]

ANTONIO MACHINA

CO-FOUNDER

[Antonio Machina was born on November 5th, 1987 in Alexandria, Egypt, to German parents. In typical German fashion, his father wanted him to become a political scientist and study in the University of Düsseldorf, but Antonios heart lied in the world of fashion. As the pressure mounted, Antonio escaped to his Heimatland, Germany, to pursue his dream of becoming a fashion designer. \A He started designing luchador masks for underprivileged kids in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, but was put in jail by the Bundespolizei. It was there that he was mistaken by a confused German customs official for a mask-smuggler, and deported to a jail in Latin American country. This was when he started his first collection with his fellow inmates in the Barrientos jail. After an extremely successful runway, in which a riot broke out in jail, he found his true calling: a machine-based fashion brand with a political twist, partly fulfilling his fathers dying wish of him becoming a politician.]
